Hallo from Berlin!

Hi everybody,
my name is Alexa Groener and I'm working as a community manager for 1 week now ; )
I am working for the Stiftung Bürgermut, located in Berlin, who developed the weltbeweger.de commutiy. Our goal is to share and transfer volunteering projects and ideas in germany. Now we have over 800 different projects in our community.
We are also interested in sharing the ideas offline via workshops and meetings with special themes f.i. fundraising via the internet. The idea is to offer more value to the people of our community and building a personal network between the projects.
Before I started working for the weltbeweger.de, I worked for over 25 years in agencys developing on- and offline-communication strategies. By expanding my knowledge with a professional fundraising manager education I entered the non-profit-field. So I switched from profit to nonprofit and I'm really happy to introduce all my experience in non-profit-projects.
In January 2010 I organized the fundraising2.0CAMP in Berlin. fundraising20camp.mixxt.de/ For fundraising professionals, politics, ngo's and project peopel is was a great plattform to discuss the new possibilities of social media for finding volunteers and monetary help. It was a great success for over 130 people!
My center is always the athentic communication of a project, a person or a business via media, now via social media.
I'm 49 years old and have one daughter studying politics in Potsdam, love venice, reading and berlin! That's it!
I'm happy that my collegue Katarina showed me thes community and I hope we can learn a lot from each other.
