The Moderator Community is an open gateway for all. We do not aim to “lock” our users into the community. Think of it as an exhibition show: We provide the place for your “stand” at an exhibition show helping you to present yourself and giving you access to exchange with others. Our content is open to everyone and our users are directly channeled back to where the content is available. e.g. the blog or the place where the podcasts sits.
We’ve created The Moderator Community because there is no independent central place serving the needs of group moderators and community managers. You are the key people who actually keep the communities alive and active. However, the majority hardly receives any support from the community platforms. That's why we’re trying to create “a one to go to place” to find good advice and relevant information with “one click”.
There exist so much content on the web. It's highly fragmented and spread all over the place - you need to invest a bunch of time to find information serving your needs. This is what we are trying to change – helping you to find all the information you are looking for in the field of online communities.
The Moderator Community offers a gateway for online community stakeholders to connect and exchange information, know-how and experience providing you with easy access to valuable resources. In our groups and forums you will find a place where you can discuss all topics related to online communities.
We are some enthusiastic community people who came together from all over the world to make this community happening - Germany, Australia, Belgium, USA, India, Italy and more – with one purpose: to connect and share our passion with you!

Australian Community Girl
Maria Sipka, Co-Founder and CEO

Maria used to work at Xing, the European based social network for professionals, where she developed a strong passion for managing communities and moderating groups. She created successful strategies for member acquisition and member retention for the community. She built one of Xing’s largest communities called "Global Business Women” which grew up to 10.000 members within one year. During this time she discovered the need for The Moderator Community since there was no central independent place to go to when searching for information and advice in the field of online communities.

Further she is responsible for all partner inquiries, content and communication around The Moderator Community. She is a real people person and has successfully set up her own communities and groups within the last years. If you have any questions or ideas for improvement she will be always happy to help.
